My Experience of the Mission Field

Sad to leave the Philippines, grateful for the experience and the wonderful people we met and excitement for all that God did while we were there, what He will continue to do in their lives and in mine. I loved every single minute of the trip and would gladly go back in a second. While we were there we had the opportunity to serve the church through gardening, building and painting.
We taught bible studies to the children and youth at their weekly meetings and we visited two tribal villages where we gave out rice, clothing and toothpaste. I had the privilege of sharing a testimony with one of the groups. The whole time God was teaching me to trust Him. I’m not much of a public speaker but I was learning to trust Him to know what to say His way. I went to the Philippines to bless others but ended up being blessed myself.
In church during the service I shared a testimony about how God had provided even in times when I’ve had no job but still given a tithe. Luke 6 v 38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you. When I got home and reflected on my mission experience, I realised this was true of my trip. God gave so much to me in return.
