1) What am I searching for?
Everyone searches for something at different times in life. Whether it’s for happiness, success, a sense of significance or a meaningful relationship. At the centre of all that, we should know that regardless of what things ‘out there’ might provide, our answer lies ‘within’. It lies in what we believe. That is what faith provides: it ‘is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. So although we search, our faith gives us confidence that we will find.
2) Is there more out there than I think?
We only need to look around the wonderful world that we live in to answer that question with a resounding yes! Discover the possibilities that exist out there and you will be pleasantly surprised.
3) Why do bad things happen?
Someone said bad things happen because that’s the only way to remember what good looks like! Bad things happen and good things happen, it’s life. Someone also said tough times don’t last but tough people do. When bad things happen, we have to trust God to strengthen us through them. After all He says ‘He will never leave us nor forsake us’.
4) Why do I feel like I am merely existing and not living?
When you live with purpose, life is rich, full and productive. Purpose means getting linked in with something bigger than us, that gives us a sense of fulfillment. The starting place must be with God and his eternal purposes for each of us. Real meaning and significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God’s purposes for our lives. When we accept that, we really start living and not just existing.
